About Arch Studio

Our mission is clear: to preserve history, especially at an individual level. Old records, historical witnesses, so silent, sometimes dusty and forgotten can tell us many stories, if we know how to listen to them. They tell us about the past events which we cannot change or participate in. More importantly they tell us about the people – still living in our memory, living in their deeds, in their descendants.

Genealogy is sometimes akin to solving a mystery.
It can be a never ending investigation, where the researcher is a detective, piecing together clues, never being sure where it will lead. You search for trades, find records and critically examine all the sources to try to build an image of the past, your family story! My name is Anna. I founded Arch Studio because history and archival studies are my passion. I have a Master’s degree in history with specialization in archival studies received from the Catholic University of Lublin in Poland (KUL Lublin). I also had the great opportunity to study abroad at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Belgium (KU Leuven). I have several years experience working in the Polish State Archives and the Institute of National Remembrence. There my main responsibility was responding to queries for records requested by individuals and institutions (including my favourite – genealogical queries). I was also responsible for the digitalisation of records, consultations in the area of archival law and archival education activities.

My team is made up of people who love history like me, dedicated to their job and wiling to help.
